Injuries Reported in Los Angeles Multi-Vehicle Accident on 101 Freeway and Fallbrook Avenue

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 9, 2024) – Tuesday morning, several people suffered injuries in an alarming multi-car crash on 101 Freeway and Fallbrook Avenue.

The incident involving three vehicles happened at about 12:45 a.m. on the westbound lanes of 101 Freeway, just east of Fallbrook Avenue.

Several people were injured in the collision, with at least two being transported from the scene by ambulance. The severity of the injuries is not yet known.

The crash resulted in the closure of all westbound lanes and two eastbound lanes as emergency responders worked at the scene. While the eastbound lanes were reopened shortly after, the SigAlert for westbound traffic was extended for about two hours until 4 a.m., according to a California Highway Patrol update on X.

Westbound traffic was being diverted onto Ventura Boulevard. 

Officials were able to reopen the lanes sooner than expected, with the SigAlert being lifted around 5:15 a.m. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
