Police Report Injuries after Collision in Ontario
ONTARIO, CA (January 15, 2019) – On Tuesday night, several people were injured in a car accident on 15 Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 8:40 PM near Jurupa Street. As per reports, a vehicle struck a patrol car and a tow truck. The cause of the incident is currently unknown, as the investigation is ongoing.
Ontario firefighters witnessed the crash and stated the occupants suffered injuries. Their current medical condition is unclear at this time. The identities of the victims have not yet been released to the public.
Authorities stated that the right three lanes off the freeway were shut down for a brief time, while clearing operations and preliminary investigation took place in the area. The freeway reopened later at around 9:45 PM.
There has been no further information released regarding the circumstance leading up to the incident at this times. It is unknown if alcohol and drugs were contributing factors in the accident.
