10-Year-Old Sergion Fernandez Granados Dies in Collision on Interstate 82 [Kittitas County, WA]

Kittitas County, WA (September 3, 2024) – 10-year-old Sergion Fernandez Granados was killed in a vehicle collision on Interstate 82 Sunday.

It was before 4 p.m. when a car being driven by a 24-year-old Sunnyside woman was eastbound on the highway. The woman attempted to change lanes but she struck a large flatbed truck that was also traveling east.

Sergion Fernandez Granados who was a paasenger in the woman’s vehicle, died at the scene, while the woman and an 8-year-old were not uninjured.

Moreover, the 37-year-old Mexico man who was driving the flatbed truck was also uninjured.

This fatal collision is under investigation.
