Injuries Sustained in Collision near Hillcrest Avenue
ANTIOCH, CA (March 11, 2019) – Separate accidents were reported on eastbound Highway 4 early Monday morning.
According to CHP, the collisions happened around 12:10 AM just west of Hillcrest Avenue. Based on an initial report, the first incident involved a hit-and-run driver and a second car. In addition, the second accident involved two unidentified vehicles.
The paramedics were requested for needed medical attention. They confirmed that no one was hurt in the hit-and-run case. However, there were victims who were hurt in the second accident. Fortunately, all injuries sustained were not life-threatening.
All lanes were temporarily closed while rescue and clearing operations were conducted in the area. An investigation is on-going to determine the cause of both incidents.
