Seon Ho Choi Fatally Injured in Accident on State Route 55 near 22 Freeway

 
SANTA ANA, CA (February 24, 2018) – A 69-year-old Apple Valley woman was killed in a multiple-car collision on the 55 Freeway, just north of the Garden Grove 22 Freeway, on Saturday afternoon.
 
Around 2:25 PM, an unidentified white sedan made an unsafe lane change and cut off a 2015 Mazda 6. The Mazda then swerved and crashed into a southbound 2010 Toyota Sienna, driven by 73-year-old Dae Yung Choi of Apple Valley.
 
The Toyota van then crashed into a 2017 Honda Pilot. Both vehicles smashed into the center diver and the Sienna rolled over several times shortly after, according to Officer Florentino Olivera.
 
Dae and his wife, 69-year-old Seon Ho Choi, were both injured in the accident and transported to a local hospital. Seon succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead, according to Carrie Braun of the Orange County Coroner’s Office. Dae was treated and released from the hospital.
