Lanes Closed after Multi-Vehicle Collision near Dos Lagos Drive
CORONA, CA (February 18, 2019) – A semi-truck caught fire in a crash on southbound 15 Freeway, Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 8:46 AM, just south of Dos Lagos Drive. Based on their report, a gravel truck hit the wall, exploded and was engulfed on fire. Two other vehicles were involved in the incident. One was found in the merge lane, while the other one was in the center divider.
The paramedics were called for needed medical attention. They had not yet released a report regarding the injuries sustained by the involved motorists.
A SigAlert was issued closing the westbound on-ramp to southbound lanes of the freeway for an hour while a clearing operation was performed in the area.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident to help identify the possible contributing factors. Additional information has yet to be released.
