EL CAJON, CA (August 26, 2019) – On Monday morning, possible injuries reported in a semi-truck accident on 8 Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 6:00 AM near Main Street. As a result, Sheriff’s reported that a red Nissan Versa landed upside down under the semi-truck. It is currently unknown how the accident occurred.
 
The San Diego Fire Rescue arrived at the scene shortly after. The driver of the Nissan is doing well according to firefighters. However, it is unclear if he was taken to a hospital for treatment and evaluation.
 
The freeway was closed for a brief time while crews worked to clean the scene, but reopened shortly after. Police did not release any other information at this time. An investigation is still ongoing to determine further details.
