Tree Trimming Employee Badly Injured in Fatal High-Speed Crash in Sebastopol
SEBASTOPOL, CA (January 14, 2019) – A woman was killed following a high-speed crash Monday afternoon in Sebastopol.
The fatal crash happened around 2:16 p.m. near the intersection of Occidental Road and Peachland Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a green Saturn car had been speeding on a curve when it lost control, spun out and hit a parked Ford pickup truck, pushing it into a tree trimming employee standing next to it, as well as a Chevrolet Silverado used by the company.
The female driver of the Saturn was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released pending notification of her family members.
The employee was taken by ambulance to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with major injuries.
No additional information was provided at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
