50-Year-Old Man Hospitalized after Accident on Intersection near Dr Jose Rizal Park
SEATTLE, WA (March 11, 2018) – A man was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver on Sunday evening, on the intersection of 12th Avenue South and South Charles Street.
Police officials and emergency personnel arrived at the scene of the accident near Dr Jose Rizal Park in Central Seattle. The pedestrian was critically injured and taken to the Harborview Medical Center for treatment. He was said to be a 50-year-old male in serious condition.
Witnesses stated that the suspect vehicle was a tan or brown Mazda Protege with at least three people riding inside it. There is currently no description of the occupants in the vehicle. It was last seen traveling southbound on 12th.
The area was blocked off for investigation; no other information has been provided at this time.
