SEATTLE, WA – Man Fatally Injured in Transit Bus Accident on Aurora Avenue North

Pedestrian Struck and Killed by King County Metro Transit Bus on Aurora Avenue North and North 130th Street

 
SEATTLE, WA (February 18, 2018) – A fatal accident involved a pedestrian and a transit bus, was reported on Sunday afternoon, in the area of Aurora Avenue North and North 130th Street.
 
Around 4 PM, a man was standing on the sidewalk, when he inexplicably stumbled and fell into the path of a southbound King County Metro Transit bus as it was pulling into a bus stop.
 
Police and emergency officials arrived at the scene of the crash, and found the man critically injured. He was pronounced dead shortly after. The Drug Recognition Expert officer confirmed that the bus driver was not impaired at the time of the incident.
 
The identity of the man has not yet been released. There is no further information at this time.
