Sean Philpot Dies in Tragic Head-On Crash on SW 41st Street [Amarillo, TX]

SUV Driver Injured in Fatal 2-Vehicle Collision on S Washington Street

Amarillo, TX (August 11, 2023) On Thursday evening, 18-year-old Sean Philpot dies and an SUV driver is hurt after a head-on crash on SW 41st Street.

Amarillo Police Department says that the 2-vehicle collision happened at about 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of SW 41st Street and S Washington Street.

Reports say that Philpot was on a northbound motorcycle when an SUV pulled out from a private parking lot onto Washington Street.

Officials say that the motorcycle collided head-on with the SV. Authorities pronounced Philpot dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the SUV driver suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital.

Police are investigating the fatal 2-vehicle collision.
