Vehicle Collisions Could Happen to Anyone
The California Office of Traffic Safety’s “Go Safely” campaign wants to spread awareness to the public about the meaning of a DUI. DUIs do not only encompass alcohol. In fact, the use of any drug, whether it be marijuana, prescription, over the counter, illegal or illicit, can constitute a DUI. Drugs impair a driver’s ability to drive safely.
Traffic safety continues to be a life-and-death matter, yet reckless driving has not declined. One person is killed in a vehicle accident every couple of hours.
Driving your children to school, driving to the market, or driving to fill up on gas should not be a life-and-death matter. Even so, the likelihood of car accidents continues to rise.
Moreover, sharing the road is a shared responsibility. It is vital to keep an eye out for those who are on the road with you.
