The fatal crash happened around 4:30 p.m. in the open desert near Lincoln Boulevard and 20 Mule Team Parkway.
According to reports, the man was driving an off-road vehicle when he collided with a truck. As a result, he suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the man as Scott A. Bean, 44, of Porter Ranch.
