1 Dead in Naches Scooter Crash on Sinclair Avenue
NACHES, WA (November 15, 2020) – Thursday afternoon, a scooter rider died in an accident on Sinclair Avenue and 2nd Street.
The crash involving a scooter and a Naches-owned pickup truck happened around 2:40 p.m. The YCSO and Naches Fire Department responded to Sinclair Avenue and E. 2nd Street.
Meanwhile, the deputies confirmed that a 65-year-old Naches man in a scooter and veered into a pickup truck’s path.
As a result, the scooter rider suffered severe injuries. Thus, responders took him to Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital where he later succumbed to injuries.
Meanwhile, the authorities revealed that the driver of the pickup truck was a 45-year-old male employee of the City of Naches.
At this time, the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit investigates the crash.
Furthermore, the identities of the parties involved remain undisclosed due to pending family notification.
