Scion Driver Dies in Crash on South Orchard Street [Tacoma, WA]

Tacoma, WA (February 15, 2022) – On Monday, a woman driving a Scion died in a crash on South Orchard Street.

The collision happened at 8:52 a.m., north of Center Street.

Officers said the 2015 Scion sedan was northbound on the roadway at a high rate of speed. 

Moreover, a BMW pulled out of a gas station parking lot when it was struck by the Scion. The impact of the crash tore off the BMW’s front wheels. 

Afterward, the Scion went across the roadways and hit a tree in a residential yard. 

Officers rushed the Scion driver to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
