Santa Ana Man Hospitalized after Rear-End Crash near Sycamore Street
SANTA ANA, CA (September 11, 2018) – A Santa Ana school police officer was injured early Tuesday morning following a DUI Crash on West 1st Street.
As per reports, a squad car was rear-ended by a Toyota sedan at about 12:40 AM in the 200 block of West 1st Street, near Sycamore Street.
The officer inside the squad car was experiencing pain and was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. After medical evaluation and treatment, he was listed in stable condition and is expected to recover.
Meanwhile, responding SAPD officers conducted a field-sobriety test on the Toyota driver. He was later booked on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence. Additional information will be available following the conclusion of the investigation.
