Collision Between Transit Van and Sedan on Highway 101 in Sausalito, Injuries Reported
SAUSALITO, CA (May 15, 2019) – One person was injured following a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on Highway 101 in Sausalito.
The crash took place at 11:29 a.m. along the southbound lanes of the highway, about half a mile North of Alexander Avenue.
CHP officials responded to the scene and located a silver Ford transit van and a gold Toyota Camry. Both vehicles were blocking the slow lane. Debris from crash was strewn across all lanes.
A 35-year-old occupant in one of the vehicles suffered a possible broken hip as a result of the accident.
Emergency crews took the injured patient to a hospital for proper treatment.
The third and fourth southbound lanes of Highway 101 were closed for the clearing operation, causing traffic gridlock.
An investigation is still ongoing to determine who was at fault and to gather all the factors involved in the accident.
