50-Year-Old Man Arrested after DUI Crash near Madera County Line
FRESNO, CA (June 12, 2019) – Authorities arrested 50-year-old Satinerjit Singh Bali of Lathrop following a 14-car DUI crash near the Madera County line.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a silver GMC Arcadia hit five cars at about 8:30 AM. He then left the freeway on the Shaw Avenue exit. There, he collided with more vehicles on the way to his workplace at West Sierra Madre and North El Capitan avenues.
Victims and witnesses chased Bali and held him down while waiting for the police. Authorities arrested Bali and charged him with misdemeanor DUI and hit-and-run. As per reports, officers released the suspect after he sobered up.
The number of people injured remains undisclosed. However, the victims reportedly sustained significant injuries including concussions, back spasms, and whiplash.
