Female Driver Dies After Rock-Throwing Incident on Highway 138
Llano, CA (October 12, 2024) – 25-year-old Sarina Rodriguez of Lancaster was killed in a Highway 138 collision early Tuesday morning.
It was about 12:10 a.m. when the fatal traffic accident happened east of Highway 18 intersection.
The authorities said the victim was driving when a rock was thrown through her windshield.
Rodriguez’s boyfriend, Franco Martinez, was also in the car when the incident happened. He said the rock came out of nowhere.
Martinez added he tried to take control of the steering wheel right after Rodriguez was hit by the rock. However, the vehicle already crashed in just less than a second.
Rescue arrived at the scene and declared Sarina Rodriguez deceased.
Martinez, on the other hand, was not injured in the collision.
Meanwhile, investigators are asking for the public’s help to identify and find the suspect or suspects involved.
