River Road Traffic Collision Kills 2 People
San Marcos, TX (July 8, 2023) – On Thursday night, Sarah Moreno, 20, of San Antonio, and Alonzo Morning, 27, of Maxwell, both sustained fatal injuries following a Highway 80 motorcycle collision.
The San Marcos Police Department immediately responded to the crash scene at the intersection with River Road.
A City spokesperson said a motorcycle driven by Morning was inbound on the freeway when it struck a Ford that was traveling in the opposite direction. The Ford was turning left onto River Road.
Unfortunately, Morning was declared deceased at the scene, while his passenger, Moreno, was transported to Seton Hays Hospital in Kyle where she died shortly after.
Officers are investigating the River Road traffic collision.
