Fatal DUI Crash on Palmdale Road in Victorville, Reggie Eugene Sanders Arrested
Victorville, CA (October 5, 2020) – On Saturday, 29-year-old Jacob Phillips-Short and 23-year-old Sarah Jarrell-Worden died in a crash on Palmdale Road and Cobalt Road.
The fatal crash happened at about 2:18 a.m., October 3, across Silverado High School in Victorville.
Moreover, a black 2001 Ford Explorer was traveling west on Palmdale Road. At the same time, a white 2006 Hyundai Tiburon was heading north on Cobalt Road. The two vehicles crashed at the intersection.
Meanwhile, rescuers rushed by ambulance the 58-year-old male SUV driver to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
He was later identified as Reggie Eugene Sanders, a transient who police discovered to be under the influence at the time of the fatal crash.
Further, Sheriff’s officials said the male sedan driver was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Authorities later identified him as Jacob Phillips-Short.
Consequently, the authorities also pronounced the female Hyundai passenger, Sarah Jarrell-Worden, dead at the scene.
Due to this drunk driving accident, authorities closed the Palmdale Road, west of Amethyst Road.
