1 Killed in Tustin Pedestrian Accident on 55 Freeway and 17th Street
TUSTIN, CA (May 22, 2022) – Early Saturday, 33-year-old Sarah De La Riva died in a pedestrian crash on 55 Freeway and 17th Street.
The incident happened at around 1:10 a.m. on northbound 55 and 17th Street.
According to reports, as Sarah De La Riva walked in lanes, a 51-year-old Orange woman driving a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado pickup hit her.
At this time, the authorities haven’t identified why De La Riva was on the road.
Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperative with the authorities.
Furthermore, the crash shut down freeway lanes 2, 3, and 4 until 3:11 a.m. for the investigation.
Due to the limited information, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
