51-Year-Old Delano Man Fatally Injured in Collision near Zachary Avenue
DELANO, CA (August 3, 2018) – On Tuesday afternoon, a man was killed in a quad bike accident on County Line Road. The deceased cyclist was later identified as 51-year-old Santos Isidro Coto Acevedo of Delano.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Acevedo was driving a quad near Zachary Avenue, at approximately 1:38 PM. For unknown reasons, he crashed into a flatbed truck, driven by 32-year-old Alejandro Munoz of McFarland.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and paramedics attempted to provide medical treatment to Acevedo, but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. Munoz was not injured and cooperated with the authorities during their investigation.
Authorities continue to investigate, to determine cause of the fatal incident. No additional information has been released to the public at this time.
