Collision West of Valley Way Kills Moreno Valley Man Santos Alvarez

Jurupa Valley, CA (August 01, 2022) – On Sunday, Santos Alvarez, a 56-year-old Moreno Valley resident, lost his life in a 60 Freeway three-vehicle collision.

The fatal incident took place at about 4:20 a.m., on the eastbound freeway, west of Valley Way.

According to the investigators, a Dodge Charger and a Chrysler minivan pulling a trailer collided, and both rested in lanes.

Minutes later, a Nissan Altima that Alvarez was traveling in hit the minivan. The sedan sustained major damage in the collision.

The authorities immediately responded and declared Santos Alvarez dead at the scene.

Moreover, the unidentified Nissan driver did not sustain injuries.

Officers say there are no details if the occupants of the other two vehicles needed medical attention.

In the meantime, the authorities are investigating the cause of the collision west of Valley Way.
