Fatal Sacramento Accident on Fruitridge Road Leaves Santiago Diaz dead, Charles Howell Arrested
Sacramento, CA (December 17, 2020) – Thursday afternoon, 30-year-old Santiago Diaz sustained critical injuries in a two-vehicle crash in the area of Fruitridge Road and 65th Street.
The Sacramento DUI crash happened just after 4 p.m. on December 17.
According to reports, the crash involved two vehicles. Later press claimed officers arrived and discovered an overturned Ford SUV, which had crashed with Toyota Corolla.
As a result, three people were transported to the hospital with severe injuries.
Mr. Diaz later died at the hospital as a result of his injuries. Meanwhile, another individual remains in critical condition.
The driver of the SUV, Charles Howell, who paramedics also transported to the ER, showed signs of intoxication.
Police later arrested the 62-year-old man on charges of DUI and manslaughter.
