SANTA CLARITA, CA – One Seriously Injured in Head-On Crash at Penman Road and Sierra Highway

Early Morning Head-On Collision in Santa Clarita Leaves One Badly Injured

 
SANTA CLARITA, CA (January 21, 2019) – At least one person was seriously injured following a head-on crash early Monday morning in Santa Clarita.
 
The crash happened around 4:34 a.m. at the intersection of Penman Road and Sierra Highway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a pickup truck collided head-on with another vehicle. The impact sent one vehicle into a ditch.
 
Los Angeles County Fire Department officials responded to the scene and found at least one occupant with major injuries. The patient was rushed by paramedics to a hospital in an unknown condition.
 
Both northbound and southbound lanes were shutdown for about 2 hours while officials worked on the scene.
 
The specific cause of the crash and who may be at fault remain under investigation.
