Santa Barbara Man Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Rose Avenue [Oxnard, CA]

Oxnard, CA (July 18, 2022) – On Sunday morning, a 58-year-old Santa Barbara man lost his life in a pedestrian accident on Rose Avenue.

OPD received the accident report at about 3:30 a.m. near the intersection with Tiesa Lane. The accident happened near St. John’s Regional Medical Center.

According to the investigators, the victim sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

Moreover, the authorities located the driver, a 20-year-old Oxnard man, away from the scene. They arrested him on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, DUI, and felony hit-and-run.
