Evening Collision on 5 Freeway in Santa Ana Leaves One Dead
SANTA ANA, CA (December 8, 2018) – At least one person was killed following a traffic accident Saturday evening in Santa Ana, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 9:26 p.m. on southbound 5 Freeway near Broadway off-ramp and Main Street.
The number of vehicles involved and the cause of the crash have not yet been determined, but a coroner was dispatched to the scene and confirmed the fatality of the incident. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
CHP officials blocked the Broadway off-ramp until around 12:23 a.m. Sunday while they conducted their investigation.
