Suspect Wanted for Alleged Hit-and-Run Bicycle Collision in Santa Ana
SANTA ANA, CA (March 22, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported a fatal hit-and-run bicycle accident on East Goetz Street, on Thursday morning.
After receiving a 911 call from a concerned motorist, responders from the Orange County Fire Authority arrived at the scene of the crash to find a man lying in the street. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Authorities suspect that he was a victim of a hit-and-run collision, as evidence suggests that the victim was hit while riding his bicycle.
The man’s identity remains unknown until the family’s notification and confirmation.
CHP was the first to know about the incident but transferred the call to the dispatched OCFA. To investigate the suspicious elements in the case, they also called Santa Ana Police Department and detectives from Crimes Against Person and Collision Investigations Unit.
