Several Injuries Sustained in Multiple Vehicle Collision on North Flower Street in Santa Ana
SANTA ANA, CA (February 5, 2018) – At 8 AM on Monday, a tow truck driver in the area of 1100 North Flower Street fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into several vehicles.
According to reports, the flatbed truck struck a minivan, and the initial impact of the crash caused a chain reaction collision that involved a gold Nissan Quest, a tan minivan, a silver sedan, and a silver Kia Soul.
Six people were injured and transported to hospital including a 7-year-old child, whose injuries were considered to be non-life threatening. Police have not confirmed whether the tow truck driver will be cited for the accident.
Photos from police showed a tow truck with a bent hood on the street next to a Nissan Quest minivan with a broken back window. There are no updates on the severity of the damage done to the other cars involved.
