Deadly Fiery Crash on Watts Valley Road in Sanger
SANGER, CA (May 2, 2019) – One person was killed following a fiery crash Thursday morning in Fresno County, the California Highway Patrol said.
A passerby saw the wreckage in the 19500 block of Watts Valley Road, just North of Bull Run Lane and called CHP around 7:45 a.m.
According to the report, it appears that the driver of a pickup truck failed to negotiate the left-hand curve of the road, went onto the right shoulder through a barbed wire fence and crashed the vehicle into a tree.
The impact caused the pickup to burst into flames, killing the driver who was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The victim was too badly burned for rescue workers to know if they were a man or a woman.
