Driver Injured in I-10 Deadly Vehicle Crash
Beaumont, CA (March 2, 2024) – 46-year-old Sandy Marks of Yucaipa sustained fatal injuries following a rollover crash on Interstate 10 Thursday afternoon.
It was before 4 p.m. when the fatal collision happened at the Highland Springs Avenue exit ramp.
The investigating officers said Marks was in the front passenger seat of a 2004 Infiniti FX35 driven by a 19-year-old Yucaipa man.
The authorities said the driver was traveling at an unconfirmed speed when he lost control and swerved off the roadway. As a result, the car overturned, rolled, and rested in the middle of the ramp. The driver and Marks were thrown from the vehicle.
Riverside County Fire Department crews located the victims lying on the exit ramp, both suffering from major injuries.
Immediately, the medical team rushed both of them to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley where Marks died an hour later.
The driver remained hospitalized Friday in serious condition.
