61-Year-Old Napa Man Fatally Struck by Truck near Sousa Lane
NAPA, CA (October 19, 2018) – A man was killed Friday evening following a pedestrian crash near Sousa Lane. The victim was later identified as 61-year-old Sandy Lee Pressey, a resident of Napa.
According to officials with the Napa Police Department, the incident took place at about 7:00 PM in the 500 block of Silverado Trail. The pedestrian was walking along the side of the road when he was hit by a truck.
Pressey suffered critical injuries and was rushed to the Queen of the Valley Medical Center. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical staff. Meanwhile, the 36-year-old truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Alcohol and drugs were ruled out as possible contributing factors in the fatal crash, which remains under investigation.
