52-Year-Old Redding Woman Fatally Injured in Pedestrian Crash on 273 Highway near Hill Street
ANDERSON, CA (February 3, 2018) – The woman who was killed in a pedestrian accident earlier this month on Highway 273 near Hill Street, was identified.
According to Lt. Gene Randall with the Shasta County Coroner’s Office, the deceased woman was 52-year-old Sandra Louise Adams of Redding.
Adams was walking on the shoulder of the 273 freeway on that Saturday night around 11 PM, when she was struck by a vehicle. Police confirmed that the victim was wearing dark clothing, making it difficult to see her on the road in the nighttime.
The fatal accident is still under investigation by the authorities. No other information has been released at this time.
