Sandra Hare Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 178 [Inyokern, CA]

72-Year-Old Woman Fatally Injured in Collision with Car near Jacks Ranch Road

 
INYOKERN, CA (October 23, 2018) – A woman was killed Tuesday evening following a two-vehicle crash near Jacks Ranch Road. The victim was later identified as 72-year-old Sandra Hare. Her city of residence was not immediately released.
 
As per reports, the incident took place at about 7:39 PM. For unknown reasons, the car of the victim collided with another vehicle on Highway 178.
 
Hare suffered critical injuries and was transported to Ridgecrest Regional Hospital for treatment and evaluation. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead by medical staff. Meanwhile, it is unknown whether or not the other driver sustained injuries in the crash.
 
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fatal collision and to identify possible contributing factors. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact the authorities as soon as possible. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
