Early Morning Fiery Collision on 5 Freeway in San Ysidro Sends 3 People to Hospital
SAN YSIDRO, CA (March 6, 2019) – One person was critically injured following a fiery crash early Wednesday morning in San Ysidro.
The crash happened around 4:35 a.m. on southbound 5 Freeway at Dairy Mart Road off-ramp.
The exact number of involved vehicles was not immediately available, but one vehicle reportedly caught fire following the crash, authorities said.
All occupants were able to get out of the burning vehicle as responding firefighters extinguished the fire.
Three people were taken to hospitals, one of them was in critical condition while the other two sustained non-life threatening injuries.
No identifying information is being released at this time. The full circumstances of the crash remains under investigation.
