Motorist Dies Due to Possible Heart Attack while Driving on Highway 101 in San Rafael
SAN RAFAEL, CA (May 18, 2019) – A driver who suffered medical emergency while driving was killed Saturday morning on Highway 101 in San Rafael.
Around 6:08 a.m. CHP officers responded to a call of a crash on southbound Highway 101, just East of 580 Freeway. A vehicle had veered off the highway and the driver was found slumped over the wheel.
Emergency medical personnel arrived immediately, extracted the driver and began CPR. The driver was then transported to Marin General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The unidentified victim has died, probably as the result of a heart attack.
