People Injured in San Martin Fatal Vehicle Collision
San Martin, CA (May 17, 2022) – On Sunday afternoon, Lorenzo Castillo, a 69, of San Martin, lost his life in an impairment crash on Center Avenue.
The CHP received the crash report at about 12:50 p.m. in the East Middle Avenue area.
According to the investigators, a man driving a southbound 2018 Chevrolet Malibu on Center Avenue with two passengers approached a stop sign at the East Middle Avenue intersection.
The man did not stop and his vehicle crashed with a Ford F150 driven by Castillo. As a result, Castillo and his two passengers were thrown from the truck.
Unfortunately, Castillo lost his life in the collision.
Four people, including the passengers in both vehicles and the Chevrolet’s driver, sustained minor to major injuries. The paramedics rushed them to hospitals.
Moreover, the officers say they believe that the Chevrolet Malibu driver was impaired during the crash. They did not arrest him because he was under the care of medical staff.
