Two People and Dog Killed; Two Others Injured in Accident on 200 Block of Casselino Dr

 
SAN JOSE, CA (March 16, 2018) – Two people and a dog were killed and two others were injured in a single-vehicle crash on Casselino Drive, early Friday morning.
 
San Jose Police officers responded to the crash site on the 200 block of Casselino Drive, around 1:32 AM. According to authorities, the Honda Accord careened out of control and crashed into a tree.
 
Emergency personnel and police officials that arrived to find that the impact of the crash caused the engine block of the Honda Accord to be ripped out of the vehicle.
 
The driver and a female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. One of the two dogs in the vehicle also died from the impact of the collision. A male passenger was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries, while another woman was transported with injuries that were considered to be life-threatening.
 
Their current condition is unknown at this time.
 
San Jose investigators stated that they believe alcohol and marijuana were contributing factor in the fatal crash. The identity of the victims will not be released until the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office has confirmed their identity and notified their next of kin. The crash is still under investigation by authorities.
