71-Year-Old Man Struck by Car on Bellingham Drive and McLaughlin Avenue has Died
SAN JOSE, CA (February 5, 2018) – A 71-year-old man who was struck by a Nissan Versa on Bellingham Drive and McLaughlin Avenue while walking in a crosswalk on Monday afternoon has died from his injuries.
The incident occurred at around 4:25 PM when the was man crossing on Bellingham Drive from east to west at the intersection of McLaughlin Avenue. The victim died on Tuesday at a local hospital, but the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office is yet to identify him.
Police revealed that the 76-year-old female driver was making a left heading to Bellingham Drive from McLaughlin, when she hit the man. She remained at the scene and cooperated with police, according to Sgt. Enrique Garcia.
