Biker Fatally Struck by SUV on 280 Freeway in San Jose
SAN JOSE, CA (November 28, 2018) – A bicyclist was killed following a traffic collision Wednesday evening in San Jose.
The fatal collision happened around 9:46 p.m. on southbound 280 Freeway near Highway 101 and 680 Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the bicyclist was struck by an Acura MDX on the fourth lane. When officers arrived, the biker was already unresponsive. A coroner was immediately called and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The Acura SUV sustained a moderate front-end damage and was towed away for evidence.
The responsible driver stopped and cooperated with the investigation.
