Driver Rear Ended Big Rig and Died on Ramona Expressway near Bridge Street
SAN JACINTO, CA (March 16, 2018) – According to the California Highway Patrol, a man was killed in a truck and vehicle collision on Ramona Expressway, early Friday morning.
Authorities received calls from a man saying he had been rear-ended in his big rig on Ramona Expressway near Bridge Street around 4:15 AM. Reportedly, the vehicle crashed into the back of the tractor-trailer.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find a person in the other vehicle unconscious and not moving. The Riverside County Coroner was called to the scene at around 4:45 AM, when he pronounced the man dead. The big rig driver was not injured in the collision.
A part of Ramona Expressway was closed off while CHP investigated the incident. No other information regarding the cause of the accident, or identities of the parties involved, has been released at this time.
