SAN JACINTO, CA – 1 Dead and 6 Injured in Three-Vehicle Collision on Ramona Expressway

Fatal Mutlitple-Car Accident near Vernon Avenue and Ramona Expressway Intersection

 
SAN JACINTO, CA (April 28, 2018) – A three-vehicle collision on Ramona Expressway resulted in one fatality and six hospitalized with injuries, on Saturday evening.
 
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the deadly collision on the intersection of Ramona Expressway and Vernon Avenue was reported around 8:54 PM. The area where the accident happened was surrounded by vacant lots, an officer added.
 
One person was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision by emergency personnel. Another person was critically injured and airlifted to a local hospital for further treatment. Five additional people involved in the accident sustained minor to moderate injuries, and were all taken to hospitals in ground ambulances.
 
The collision remains under investigation, and the cause of the accident is undisclosed to the public at this time. Identities of the people killed or injured in the fatal collision were also not immediately available, along with the descriptions of the involved vehicles.
