Morning Collision Between Semi Truck and Sedan in San Dimas Sends One to Hospital
SAN DIMAS, CA (December 14, 2018) – One person was hospitalized following a traffic collision between a semi truck and a sedan Friday morning in San Dimas.
The collision happened around 5:35 a.m. on southbound 57 Freeway at Via Verde.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the semi truck and a gray Dodge Charger sedan collided for unknown reasons. When officers arrived on the scene, both the semi and the sedan were blocking the first lane of the freeway.
One occupant was reportedly transported to San Dimas Community Hospital with unspecified injuries.
There were no descriptions of any vehicular damages but the Dodge sedan was towed away from the wreckage.
It is unknown if speed, drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
