Driver Wanted for Alleged Hit-and-Run in San Diego’s Midway District
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 16, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported a hit-and-run collision on Fordham Street, that left a woman injured in the road.
The 48-year-old pedestrian was crossing Fordham when a vehicle from Midway Drive struck her, San Diego police said. She was walking inside of a crosswalk at the time of the accident.
Continuing south on Fordham St, the driver fled from the scene, leaving the woman in the road. According to the witnesses, the vehicle was a dark, midsize sedan with possible signs of damage on the front-left side from the impact of the crash.
Emergency personnel transferred the injured woman to a local hospital for medical treatment. The victim was reported to have fractured ribs, a dislocated shoulder, and other non-life threatening injuries. There is no update on her current condition at this time.
San Diego Police Department are encouraging witnesses with other information on the hit-and-run driver and vehicle involved, to contact them by calling the SDPD traffic division at (858) 495-7805.
