SAN DIEGO, CA – Man Injured in Broadside Collision on Jackson Drive

57-Year-Old Man Critically Injured in T-Bone Collision at San Carlos Intersection

SAN DIEGO, CA (April 19, 2018) – A broadside collision on Jackson Drive sent a 57-year-old man to the hospital with multiple life-threatening injuries, early Thursday evening.

According to the San Diego Police, the crash occurred around 5:00 PM at the intersection of Jackson Drive and Park Ridge Boulevard, just west of Cowles Mountain. A 62-year-old man in a black 2015 Nissan Rogue traveling southbound on Jackson Drive broadsided a 2001 Saturn station wagon, driven by the victim, that was headed east on Park Ridge Boulevard.

It is unknown which vehicle had entered the intersection first. The injured man was rushed to a nearby hospital with several critical and life-threatening injuries while the other driver complained of pain.

Authorities are not sure what factors contributed to the collision, but they are continuing their investigation. The drivers’ identities remain undisclosed, and no other information is available to the public at the time.
