Pedestrian Walking Against Red Light Fatally Struck by Car in San Bernardino
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (April 24, 2019) – A man was killed in a pedestrian crash Wednesday evening at the intersection of Highland Avenue toward Muscupiabe Drive.
The San Bernardino Police Department said the crash occurred just before 10:30 p.m.
A 46-year-old San Bernardino man was walking southbound through the intersection in a marked crosswalk but against a red light, when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle, driven by a Corona woman, who had a green light as she approached the intersection.
The victim, whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to be a factor in the crash. It is also unknown if charges has been filed and liability has not yet been determined.
The fatal incident remains under investigation.
