1 Person Injured in Wasco Hit-and-Run Accident on E Street
WASCO, CA (July 14, 2021) – Sunday afternoon, authorities arrested 66-year-old Samuel Perez after a pedestrian crash on E Street.
The incident happened at about 2:30 p.m. in the 700 block of E Street. According to some witnesses, a car struck the 78-year-old pedestrian crossing the street. Then, the vehicle fled the scene.
Then, the authorities located Samuel Perez in a vehicle in the 1900 block of D Street and took him into custody. Meanwhile, the pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was listed in stable condition.
Then, the officers detained Perez for investigation of hit-and-run causing injury, reckless driving, resisting or delaying arrest, drug possession, and driving without a license.
