SCOTTSDALE, AZ (September 5, 2023) – Monday morning, Sammy Eugene Shepherd died in a tragic motorcycle crash on Loop 101 near McDonald Drive.

The incident happened at around 3:00 a.m. on Loop 101 near McDonald Drive.

According to reports, a Jeep Patriot sideswiped a motorcyclist for still unknown reasons. Then, a Hyundai Elantra struck the motorcyclist who was already down in the roadway.

Moreover, responders pronounced the 56-year-old motorcyclist of Phoenix, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, officers transported the SUV driver, a 22-year-old woman, to a hospital for minor injuries. Also, she is under suspicion of driving under the influence.
