Samantha Tarango Injured in Jamestown Crash Killing Michael Bowers
Jamestown, CA (July 04, 2021) – On Friday, 34-year-old Samantha Tarango of Sonora was injured in Rawhide Ride DUI crash that killed 45-year-old Michael Bowers, also from Sonora.
The accident happened in the afternoon near Pulpit Rock Road.
Officers said Bowers, who was driving a Ford Focus, drifted off the north shoulder and struck a tree.
Then, the vehicle rolled down an embankment, where it rested.
Unfortunately, Bowers died at the accident scene.
On the other hand, his passenger, Tarango, was airlifted to Memorial Medical Center for major injuries.
Meanwhile, officers said they were both not wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident and at least one of them was under the influence.
Officers are investigating the incident.
